Brief Description of Project
Negotiate compensation payable to third parties under compensation law for value of land or interest in land taken, disturbance (including compensation and consequence of dispossession or displacement for land) and including severance or injurious affection.
Scope of work/services provided
To provide a schedule of all land compensation valuations, payable to third parties as such, advise on value of – land taken – disturbance (including compensation in consequence of dispossession or displacement for land) severance or sterilisation of land – injurious affection – other compensation in connection with compensation law including allowable professional fees, stamp duty, land registration fees and conveyancing costs.
In addition, assessment of the benefit accruing from the execution of the works resulting in a betterment situation which will be off set against claims for compensation against the above headings.
Management of Claims
Confirm with owners and occupiers of the land the floor areas of undeveloped land to be taken.
Clarify the ownership and tenancies affected.
Submit monthly reports to client.
Progress negotiations to reach settlement to all parties with a compensatory interest.
Where settlement cannot be reached, advise on procedure and potential costs implications of proceeding to Lands Tribunal and adjudication of settlement.
