Dron & Wright – Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Services

We are pleased to announce that our Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) consultant, Kit Wells, is now a fully qualified access consultant and is one of the few registered with the National Register of Access Consultants.

Clients seeking reliable, informed access advice need to be able to do so with confidence.  The National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) membership comprises appropriately qualified and experienced access consultants who have demonstrated their expertise in access matters to the satisfaction of the NRAC admissions panel.  The NRAC provides a quality standard for those advising on the accessibility of the built environment for disabled people.

Since the final part of the DDA became Law in October 2004 accessibility has become an integral part of property ownership and occupation, affecting both landlords and tenants alike.  Our advice is that DDA audits are required as a minimum by all employers, occupiers of commercial buildings, service providers and property investors in order to ensure that they stay on top of their legal responsibilities.

Our approach to DDA advice is to protect you from falling foul of the DDA, whilst taking a pragmatic approach to ensuring that you comply with its regulations.  This does not always mean taking an expensive route in order to comply.  If you should have any immediate problems or would like further advice please contact our Mr John Murray.
